Public Private Partnerships (PPP) policy group has been created to engage with key public sector stakeholders and to ensure delivery of infrastructure by the private sector. The PPP Group serves as a platform for dialogue between the Government, parliament, national/international experts in the field and the private sector.

The BPCC invites members to take part in its PPP policy group breakfast which will focus on PPP projects in Warsaw. We are delighted to be able to announce that our special guest will be the mayor of Warsaw, Hanna Gronkiewicz–Waltz.

Warsaw's mayor, Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, addressed a breakfast meeting of the BPCC’s PPP policy group on 17 June at the British Embassy.
2. PPP Group - Can PPPs help in the development of Poland's highway infrastructure?

The BPCC’s PPP policy groups met on 7 December with invited guests are Janusz Piechociński (deputy chairman of the parliamentary infrastructure commission), Magdalena Jaworska, deputy director of the Polish highways and motorways agency, GDDKiA, and Sławomir Siewko, head of the economics and finance department at GDDKiA.
3. PPP Group - Is there a place for the private sector in the future of Poland's railways?

Members of the PPP policy group gathered at CMS Poland’s Warsaw office on 12 May to discuss the possibilities of private sector investment in Poland’s rail sector. Guest speakers were Paweł Dziwisz, investment director and board member of PLK S.A., the state-owned rail infrastructure company, and Adam Rorata, the director of PKP S.A.’s office of investment and marketing projects.
4. PPP Group - Social housing

Social housing was the subject of the BPCC’s PPP policy group meeting which took place on 5th November at DLA Piper office. A good case for public-private partnership, where private developers and property managers build and maintain social housing stock for the public sector, PPP has been used effectively in the UK.This model relieves the public sector of the need to make a large capital investment in the housing infrastructure, instead making monthly payments to a private sector consortium for making the housing available.
5. PPP Group - Andrew Kozlowski's presentation on PPP in the Warsaw City Hall

On 27 June at Warsaw City Hall Andrew Kozlowski, partner of CMS Cameron McKenna delivered a presentation on how to realize PPP projects in Poland without PPP law.
6. PPP Group - Meeting with Jacek Wojciechowicz, deputy president of the City of Warsaw

Jacek Wojciechowicz, deputy president of the City of Warsaw met PPP Group on 11 June at Cameron McKenna office to present city’s current investment projects. There are more funds in the budget for new investments; in 2008 it was 2 billion PLN and for 2009 it will be 2,7 billion PLN (of which 39 % of funds will be spent on roads and 27 % on public transport).
7. PPP Group - Meeting with Zbigniew Rynasiewicz, Chairman of the Parliamentary Infrastructure Committee

The first PPP Group meeting with Zbigniew Rynasiewicz, Chairman of the Infrastructure Committee took place on 17 April 2008 at CMS Cameron McKenna. The meeting, chaired by Aleksander Granowski, WS Atkins, brought together many representatives from a variety of law firms as well as those from the construction, transport and infrastructure sector.
